Great minimalist designs combine the simple with the practical, creating unique pieces which are at once stunningly beautiful and wholly usable. The three-legged Tablo is sturdy enough for everyday use and, at 42cm high 50cm in diameter, equally suitable for use as a coffee table centerpiece or as an elegant side table.
Designed by Nicholai Wiig Hansen for Normann Copenhagen, the Tablo table comes in an easy to assemble flat pack (no tools required). Nicholai Wiig Hansen says: “For me, it is paramount that function, materials, and aesthetics all come together. The design needs to both be useful and solve a basic need – without compromising the visual expression. Being easy to assemble is, therefore, part of Tablo’s function”.
The table has three sturdy legs which are Ashwood and a shaped plastic table top sits atop them. The edges of the table curve gracefully upwards to create a small lip which encircles the top surface. The table comes in grey, warm grey, and blue – all colors which fit well into a modern space which values a softer aesthetic.
Since its creation in 1999, Normann Copenhagen has worked with designers to deliver bold and original furniture which can be used in both home and office environments. They pride themselves on flexibility and simplicity. Their items are easy to assemble and often lend themselves to multiple configurations. With over 84 design awards and sales in more than 80 countries, they devote themselves to the continuous development of their ideas and ideals.
